I will start off with our latest piece.
It's a beautiful primitive floor mirror done in the color "Millstone" over brown. It has a heavy distress with some chipping. It measures 58 1/2" tall x 22 1/2" wide. It's listed at $99.
Here's mine which I did in white with a heavy distress finish.
This will probably be our last piece of the week for a while. Instead for the fall- winter months we will be having open houses a couple times a month. That way you can come over and see our pieces in person! Right now our first one is tentatively set for 10/17. I will post updates here and on our Facebook page when the date is confirmed.
Now that we decided to have regular open houses I have so many great ideas in my head for things to make!! Bill made me these cute tool boxes that I am going to use for fall centerpieces. We will have a few other varieties available for purchase also.
Stay tuned for sneak peaks of some of our other pieces that will be available!!
Onto furniture rehab-- I just started working on this old dresser I found.
The drawers were missing and the drawer bases were all warped and splintered so Bill ripped them out and will be replacing them with new boards.
The top is in pretty bad shape. I'm not sure if I can salvage it.
My plan is to paint it green and give it a really chippy finish. Then I'm going to use it to display our Grain sack inspired linens at our open houses. I will post after pics as soon as its done!
And speaking of our Grain sack linen line, our Etsy store is really taking off with our Grain sack inspired curtains/shower curtains and valances! (you can see them here and here). My friend Maureen from the Speckled Hen suggested that we make tableclothes so we made one and I really like the way it looks on my table. I just added them to our Etsy store. Here a picture of one with our fall design.
What do you think? I'm going to make some more and when I perfect them I will add them to our line and have some on hand for our open house. Make sure to occasionally check out our Etsy store for more details!
Besides working on pieces for our open house, Bill has been busy with custom orders. Here is a custom order TV stand that he is just finishing up.
The customer isn't full fledged "primitive" so it's a more traditional piece with just a touch of primitive style. It should be making it over to my painting table this weekend.
He's also working on a set of custom end tables. Here's one he's just starting.
Remember to tentatively mark your calendars for October 17th! In the mean time if you are interested in purchasing the mirror or would like to come see it in person send me a message. And as always the mirror as well as all of our pieces can be custom built to the size and color you need. Just send me a message with the measurements and we will quote you a price.
Thanks for stopping by!
Donna
